Clearly we need to make a habit of making field trips like this one. (And we also need to get a ping pong table for the office, stat.)
Team 20x200 spent an awesome evening visiting Jason Polan at his solo show Living and Working at Nicholas Robinson Gallery. Roberta Smith writes in The New York Times that, “Relational aesthetics, if you want to call it that, has rarely seemed more charming, direct and user friendly.” After hanging with Mr. Polan at the show, we’d have to agree. Thanks for the ice pops, Jason! In this action-shot by JBP’s Ed Yaeger, Qian Ma shows off his ridiculous ping pong skills on a drawn-all-over table. If you’re not there with a group, no worries! The artist himself, who is working (but not living) in the space for the duration of the show, will challenge you to a game. Go see it!
